Public Description

The Stoutlands are of a Caorrani Woodlander lineage, renowned for their endurance, ferocity, and unyielding will. Their seat is the Castle of Dùn Trosgair, known as the Boarwatch Keep, where the mighty Tuskhall stands as both hearth and throne room, its rafters carved like the tusks of the boar that blazons their arms. Their crest is a golden boar rampant upon a red field, divided by a silver fess, a symbol of courage, defiance, and steadfast strength. Their words are "Tusks Unbroken."

The Stoutlands were formalized as a Caorrani Noble House by Fergus Tuskborn, a war-chief likened to the wild boar for his refusal to yield even when pressed on all sides. In his defiance, he carved a hall from stone and swore that his kin would never be driven from their land. Since his day, the Stoutlands have stood as immovable as their walls, their legacy carried forward by their Tuskguard, the fearsome honor guard of twelve warriors led by their Captain, the one who bears the horn.

They are not the wealthiest of Houses, nor the most subtle. They are a people of hard stone, hard weather, and hard vows. They are hunters, wardens, and warriors. Their bannermen say they fight as the boar does, fearless in the open, deadliest when cornered. While other houses may weave webs of intrigue, House Stoutland endures, rooted in their glens and granite, unbent and unbroken.

To stand among the Stoutlands is to share in their defiance: to guard one's kin with tusk and steel, to feast loud in their halls, and to leave behind a name that echoes like a war-cry through the green forests of Caorran.
