Jaramid is an independent realm.
This is the rulership position for the realm.
Hear and bear witness: the title of Jafan is conferred upon noble or knight, without distinction of lineage or estate, for in this dignity lies not privilege alone, but sacred duty.
He who is named Jafan is granted the right to marshal the armies of the duchy and to lead them forth in battle beneath the banners of Meona. By this authority, he may summon and command the troops gathered within the cities and domains upon oath to the House of Meona, binding them to the service of their liege and their lord.
Let it be known that in accepting this title, the Jafan swears to uphold the honor of the duchy, to preserve its strength in times of peril, and to wield the sword of command not for his own gain, but for the safety of the realm and the glory of his sovereign.
So long as the Jafan remains steadfast in loyalty, resolute in courage, and faithful to the will of the Duke, his charge shall stand unbroken: to be guardian of the people, commander of the host, and living emblem of ducal power.
The Espahí are a brotherhood of mounted warriors sworn to the service of the Craïn family, bound by oath to heed every summons of House Meona. Endowed with command over the ducal cavalry, they stand as both instructors and enforcers of the Duke’s will.
Charge and Duties:
To oversee the training and discipline of the ducal cavalry, imparting the martial knowledge gained in the wars of the Western realms.
To render faithful service in all matters decreed by House Meona.
To restore by force or authority any city that would defy or bar the Ducal Stewards.
Conditions of Service :
Membership is reserved to those who once bore allegiance to the Western Empire.
All must profess the faith of Solis.
The Ducal Stewards, or intendants, held a central role in the economic governance of the duchy. Tasked with surveying and reporting on the condition of the realm, they advanced agricultural innovation by introducing new crops and improving methods of livestock breeding. In times of subsistence crisis, they secured provisions by purchasing and redistributing grain. As appointed—and readily dismissed—commissioners, they embodied the authority and centralizing power of the ducal administration.
Charge and Duties:
To promote the growth and prosperity of the provinces under ducal rule.
To oversee the production of arms, ensuring the fullest capacity of the empire is mobilized in times of war.
To regulate and direct ducal trade across the entire duchy, while local nobles remained confined to the management of their own estates.
To maintain and expand the network of roads, while strengthening and embellishing the urban centers of the duchy.
