The Custodians of Sigerica is a part of The Bright Custodians and both are parts of Caorran.
Leader of the Chapter. They answer only to the First Custodian, though they are largely automomous to act as they see fit, as long as they don't break away from the Order's ideals and the Faith's beliefs.
Senior members that have the ability to pass judgement to Bright Custodians, acting as the second-in-command to the Commanders. They also serve as ambassadors, lieutenant-generals of the Order and teachers to the recruits.
Generally just called a Custodian, these are the rank-and-file members of the Order who have survived the joining trials and tests.
Founded in the turbulent aftermath of the Asrian Empire's failed invasion of Caorran, the Chapter of Sigerica stands as both a frontier ward and a living experiment in reconciliation. When the Imperial Province of Sigerica was ceded to the Caorrani after the war, the Crown entrusted these lands scarred by occupation, displacement, and years of Asrian administration, to The Bright Custodians, newly renewed under The Caorrani Solisian Church's reform.
The population remains predominantly Asrian in descent, shaped by old loyalties, fears, and memories of Imperial rule. For many, the transfer of authority to Caorran felt abrupt and uncertain, and resentment still simmers beneath the surface. Aware of this delicate balance, the Custodians assumed stewardship not as conquerors, but as guardians tasked with healing a wounded borderland.
The Chapter's mission is threefold:
Pacify and stabilize the province, ensuring safety in a region long accustomed to Imperial garrisons and now struggling with banditry, unrest, and the power vacuum left behind.
Ease the spirit of hostility, steadily reducing the influence of militant factions, old Imperial loyalists, and those who still harbor anger toward Caorran and its allies.
Rebuild trust between peoples, fostering coexistence through fair governance, transparent justice, and the steady presence of Custodians trained as mediators as much as warriors.
The Chapter of Sigerica embodies the Bright Custodians' new purpose: not merely to defend the faithful, but to bridge the divide between former enemies and guide an entire province into a peaceful, shared future. The Asrians and the Caorrani once were, after all, friends.
