Realm Description

"In need, service. Through service, grace. Through grace, the Light endures." - The Caorrani Custodians Motto

The Landless Caorrani Chapter is a unique arm of The Bright Custodians, the Holy Order sworn to uphold faith, mercy, and vigilance across Solisdom. Though the Custodians themselves are a Caorrani-founded order, they have always opened their ranks to any soul steadfast in the Solisian faith, regardless of birth or station. This Chapter, however, is comprised solely of Caorrani, men and women devoted to serving their own Kingdom and Church through the Order's sacred charge.

Unlike the grand bastions and fortified monasteries maintained by other Chapters, the Landless Chapter holds no vast estate nor territorial domain. Re-established jointly by the Caorrani Crown and the Order in 47-13-3, its purpose is not only to guard borders, but to walk among the people. The Custodians of this Chapter travel the length of Caorran, from hamlets and fishing towns to dense forests and city outskirts, offering aid wherever they are needed. They teach, build, heal, and protect, confronting banditry and heresy alike while helping villages raise walls, harvest timber, or hunt for winter stores. To them, service is not duty alone, but privilege, a sacred act through which faith is made living.

Their name Landless speaks not of poverty, but of the reality that the Chapter do not rule over lands. Yet they do maintain a small headquarters in Deargailbh, in a castle known as the Soldier's Peak. It serves as an administrative center, barracks, and place of rest for Custodians returning from their travels through the Kingdom. The Chapter also finds respite and purpose within the Great Custodian Library, located in the capital, where learning and contemplation take precedence over arms and duty. There, the Caorrani Custodians study the sacred texts, historical annals, and teachings of the faith under the direct guidance of the First Shepherd himself. Between these two places, the Keep and the Library, the Chapter balances service and study, action and reflection, embodying the Order's ideal of faith lived both through deed and understanding.

Its members live mainly from royal stipends, temple alms, and the goodwill of the faithful, answering only to their Custodian-Commander and the high clergy of The Caorrani Solisian Church.
